This free book titled “Building Momentum for Human Rights” is a comprehensive publication on the Canadians for a Civil Society with text and colourful photos of the events. It describes the history of our non-profit organisation, milestones along our journey, the factors that build and maintain a civil society, how our strategy evolved over the years to achieve our mission, and the partnership and collaboration developed with public and private organisations and decision makers. It outlines in detail the symposia, workshops, speakers’ series and public events we held to deliberate on human rights issues and solutions – on gender equity and the celebration of the daughter’s day, on anti-discrimination, on inclusion, on social justice, and on the charter of human rights and the legislations.
