Prabhjot has been recognized for her community work through the Terry Heck Award, HSBC Bank Canada Award, and, most recently, with the Suzanne Mah Award in Law.

Canadians for Civil Society’s commitment to advancing a culture of peace and advocating for human rights is a priority for Prabhjot. She is dedicated to achieve and sustain the CCS’ organizational vision.

Prabhjot K. Punnia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). Prabhjot is currently a Juris Doctor Candidate at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law.

Prabhjot currently volunteers with the Student Legal Services, where she is privileged to assist low-income individuals with access to justice. By attaining legal education, Prabhjot intends to continue contributing towards ensuring that one’s inalienable and fundamental human rights are always protected regardless of one’s financial and personal circumstances. Further, protecting and enhancing minority rights is also one of Prabhjot’s ongoing priorities.
