Join Our ELDER ABUSE ACTION PROJECT – NEW DROP-IN SESSIONS
Let’s Take on Elder Abuse Together
Canadians for a Civil Society (CCS) invites adults 60+ to join a series of creative, community drop-in sessions focused on raising awareness about elder abuse.
Who can participate?
- Adults 60 years and older who are willing to share their time and skills
- Drop-in sessions – no registration required
- Attend any weeks you are able
WHY participate?
- Help address issues of physical, emotional, sexual, or financial abuse
- Share ideas, ask questions, and learn together
- Meet new people and build connections
- Create resources that raise awareness and educate others about elder abuse
What We’ll Do
Participants will work together to create messages that help people understand:
- What elder abuse is
- What to do if it happens
- How to prevent it
Creations may include posters, sculptures, cartoons, or any creative idea you imagine.
Simple arts and crafts materials will be provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own.
When & Where?
- Tuesdays: January 20 & 27, February 3 & 10
- Time: 2:00 – 3:30 pm
- Location: Sage, 15 Churchill Square
- Room: Raye Dolgoy Room (3rd floor – ask a volunteer at the main entrance)
