Jiti Bhatia, Board Member
Known for her relentless volunteer work, Jiti has been serving the immigrant community in Edmonton for over three decades now. She co-founded the Indo-Canadian Women’s Association (ICWA) in 1984 and has been its steady patron ever since. The ICWA is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for and protects the rights of immigrants settled in Edmonton.
Jiti’s dedication to the cause of gender equality is integral to the wide range of her philanthropic activities. Owing to this nature, she has played an active role in establishing Daughters Day as a popular community initiative in the city.
A proud mother of two and a doting grandmother, Jiti has made immense contribution to the work of her husband, Gurcharan Singh Bhatia, while caring for her family with equal poise and diligence.”
